A building of 1928 is the historical heritage of the Fullerton Hotel, which once ran all the social and commercial life in Singapore.

Hotel Indonesia is the first hotels built in Jakarta, Indonesia. Hotel was inaugurated on August 5, 1962 by the First President, Sukarno to welcome the Asian Games IV in 1962. Indonesia Hotel building designed by architect Abel Sorensen and his wife, Wendy, from the United States. Occupying a land area of 25,082 square meters, the hotel has the slogan A Dramatic Symbol of Free Nations Working Together.

The hotel is designated as cultural heritage by the government of Jakarta with the release of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Decree No. 475 dated March 29, 1993. Read the rest of this entry »
