Top 10 Boutique Hotels in Asia-Pacific for 2010 (I)

Agoda as the leader in online hotel reservations based in Asia and part of Priceline.com and has released its list of Ten Best Boutique Hotels Asia Pacific 2010. The choice of hotels is based on evaluations by customers of these small hotels, the quality of personalized services and exclusive designs used in these spaces.
The boutique hotel category generally refers to design facilities, a trend that is growing in Southeast Asia. To build this list, boutique hotels Agoda defined as exclusive proposals (usually less than 200 rooms), with a different custom alternative to that provided by large groups and chains.
In relation to the criteria used to evaluate Agoda Hotels in this trend, the company’s CEO, Michael Kenny said: “They are increasingly boutique with a chic and unique design. This year the list included a range of areas ranging from retro to modern minimalist tendencies. We use the same basic approach of the previous year to pinpoint the center lines of a boutique hotel. But in turn, include both evaluations of our customers and their comments on their experiences in each of the hotels. ”
“We found that people who prefer to travel to Asia to stay at hotels that offer them the sense of place, considering they are usually very far away. And as it grows stronger demand for small hotels and personalized services, boutique hotels are becoming increasingly popular. Within this trend, are couples and single travelers the two groups who demand more weight and stay comfortable and tailored services, “added Kenny.
The category of the hotel was another factor considered in the definition of the list. In previous years this point was not taken into account and had placed a greater emphasis on individualized treatment and aesthetics. However, most hotels were nominated for this year four and five stars. Beyond the boutique hotel status, the number of stars continues to be a measure of the popularity of the various proposals and allows guests to provide a criterion to define their expectations.
