Do not expect to find a hotel decorated with Scandinavian design trend, if you choose the Fox Hotel in Copenhagen, and that five years of its opening, has become a cult object.
It all began with the launch of the model Volkswagen Fox in Copenhagen with a marketing operation that exceeded the mere presentation of the car in a spectacular space, as usually does.
The company came up with something more fun and reached an agreement with a conventional chain of hotels of three stars to transform one of them (Park Hotel) in an original place to publicize the new car and to continue promoting it thereafter.
Since this was a city car, carefree and manageable thematic link was established with the best street art, graffiti, and made a selection of the best graffiti artists and designers in the world. 21 were chosen from among all and got carte blanche to realize their dreams in 61 rooms of four types: X Large, Large, Medium and Small.
Although the result was not as crazy as one might imagine run riot, no one can remain indifferent to the design of the rooms that often cause unpredictable reactions.
In Fox , the guest can sleep in teepees or a wigwam planted in half of the fourth in a virtual forest out of a cartoon or a boxing ring.
Lack of reception or something to officiate as such, just a lively bar with a blue sky where the newcomer does not seem to find who receives, and he who attends the bar also works as a receptionist.
