Teetering Holidays Travel Can Only Hope For Good Weather

Home repossession topped the list of major concerns for many in Britain in this time of the aftermath of the recession . This has only reinforced the threat of debt. Newspapers have recently published evidence illustrating just how many households are finding it to be rough going in the current financial climate. The routine of summer holidays has taken a hit and the upcoming season isn’t looking any better. What has changed for the good is that Brits are saving the holidays tradition by planning stay-cations right here in the British Isles. Spending less money on holidays and spending it here at home. Keeps the spirits and it’s better for the UK economy the way things are going now.

Further newspaper reports show data that more than 17 million Brits will not take a trip away this summer to protect themselves against the burden of debt. These are people who still have the finances to take the Holidays in a comfortable fashion, but they have chosen well in advance of any personal financial crisis to go the stay-cation route, and some even opt for the stay-at-home-cation. With fuel costs and other commodities rising, especially food, those that will not even take a UK-based holidays break, will harm the UK tourism industry.

Meanwhile, weather, the always present and possible dampener that effects the number of Holidays taken has been predicted as a mixed summer, and for those at home, an unspectacular couple of months.
